IPCAI is a premiere international forum for technical innovations, system development and clinical studies in computer assisted intervention. IPCAI will include papers presenting novel technical concepts, clinical needs and applications as well as hardware, software, and systems and their validation.

- 10 November 2017: Papers assigned to Area Chairs
- 17 November 2017: Papers assigned to reviewers by ACs
- 8 December 2017: Reviews are due (3 weeks)
- 15 December 2017: Primary and secondary input due
- 18 December 2017: Straight accept/reject decisions
- 8 January 2018: Rebuttals/Major revisions due
- 15 January 2018: Primary and secondary input due
- 22 January 2018: Decisions sent to authors

Submissions of original work are encouraged within the broad areas of interest of Computer-Assisted Interventions (CAI) and specifically in the areas of:

- Interventional imaging
- Systems and software
- Evaluation and validation
- Tracking and navigation
- Interventional robotics
- Surgical planning and simulation
- Advanced intra-operative visualization and user interfaces
- Augmented reality for medical applications
- Surgical skill analysis and workflow
Publications
Accepted papers are eligible, after appropriate revisions, for publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (IJCARS). IJCARS is indexed in PubMed, its ISI 2016 impact factor is 1.827.
