ISCAS Travel Awards 2016

The International Society for Computer Aided Surgery (ISCAS) aims at promoting young scientists and recognizing outstanding scientific work. For this purpose, the society awards the ISCAS travel awards:

ISCAS Student Travel Scholarships

• The purpose of the student travel scholarships is to enable students with accepted papers at the ISCAS conference at CARS to attend the conference.
• Students must request the scholarship in advance, justifying why they need it.
• There will be four scholarships per year.
• The scholarship covers 1,000 € to be used for air travel in economy class, local hotel stay (3 stars or equivalent category), and CARS registration.
• A committee of four ISCAS Board members will review requests
  and make a decision.

Koh Young/ISCAS Young Investigator Scholarships

• The purpose of the scholarship is to enable young investigators with accepted papers at ISCAS conference at CARS to attend the conference.
• It is targeted for young researchers who were students no more than two years before the date of submission.
• Applicants must request the scholarship in advance, justifying why they need it.
• There will be two scholarships per year.
• The scholarship covers 1,000 € to be used for air travel in economy class, local hotel stay (3 stars or equivalent category), and CARS registration. based on the receipts and on geographical situation.
• A committee of four ISCAS Board members will review requests and make a decision.

Selection criteria for both awards include relevance to CARS, geographical location, financial reasons, scientific excellence, and innovation, in this order of importance. We explicitly encourage applications from developing countries.
